At Jason Mechanical Corp., a proud women- and minority-owned business, we’re committed to building a workforce that reflects diversity, strength, and opportunity in the Building Trades. We’re especially proud to work with women who are breaking barriers and proving that mentorship, determination, and skill can inspire the next generation of tradespeople. Jamie Honan, graduated from the Chicago Pipefitters Local 597 apprenticeship program in July 2024. Jamie has become a valuable part of our team of skilled welders and pipefitters. Working alongside Jamie and paving the way is 2nd-year apprentice Grace Burkey. Jamie and Grace have become a strong team on the job—encouraging each other to grow, while building a great friendship along the way. Both women hold United Association Weld Certifications in GTAW and SMAW processes. Most recently, Ericka Nolan graduated from the apprenticeship program in June 2025. Ericka worked with Jason Mechanical as a 2nd-year apprentice, and although she has since moved on, we wish her continued success. These three women remind us every day that the future of the Building Trades is bright—and it’s diverse. Their stories are a testament to the strength, resilience, and excellence of women in the trades. Keep leading the way, Jamie, Grace, Ericka—and all the women of Chicago Pipefitters Local 597, past and future, who continue to shape the future of the trades. You’re an inspiration to all.
